Preparations for the season tip no. 7 from The Bale Doctor:
The film MUST be released by the catch and cut mechanism at the start of the new wrapping cycle…
If the knife is not sharp enough, broken or miss-aligned and the film does not release, the film will not be cut when the bale is released from the turntable.
As the bale rolls away it pulls the film from the bale, reducing the number of wraps left on the bale. Expect poor quality silage!

Preparations for the season tip no. 4 from The Bale Doctor:
The film MUST be released by the catch and cut mechanism at the start of the new wrapping cycle…
If the knife is not sharp enough, broken or misaligned and the film does not release, it will allow air into the end of the bale, between the film layers ,resulting in poor quality silage!
